I have been unsuccessful in getting my ads approved on facebook. The last decline I received gave this message.

I read everything and can't figure out what is wrong with my ad or my site. There is another person with a very similar site (may be where I got the idea for mine) that has an ad running all the time. I looked everywhere and can't find a way to contact anyone from the ad department to find out what I need to do to be compliant. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I advertise on FB but will need more info in order to see how to get around your problem.

Oops - I just found the link to contact them in my email.

Facebook is a very very tough market to dominate. When college students like myself go on facebook we are usually not in the "purchasing" mode. We are there to talk to friends etc etc. Facebook is more of a networking platform. People on facebook that are looking to purchase something will usually check out the marketplace on facebook.... With that being said it's not entirely impossible to make a buck.

not getting much success on facebook even with an SMS trivia campaign

Does facebook manually approve ads? The flyers were decent but the traffic was just terrible quality. Such uninterested users!

Tip might be to market to girls or market dating / singles stuff to guys. That is why everyone is on fb anyways ;)

Facebook is not even worth it. Once you get your ad approved, which takes 7 variations of the same ad and 10 days. You then have a good ad for about 2 days, then the same people see it over and over again.

Its so hard to get a good CTR.

As with any marketing campaign, it depends on whether you're targeting the right audience or not. I've run FB campaigns with extremely high CTR's (30%+) converting at almost 10%. These were not with CPA offers mind you, but I can attest to FB being a very profitable advertising platform if it is leveraged properly.

An AM has been nagging me to get on FB ads. He says some are making an absolute killing.

I'm not, but I found flipkart on facebook three and a half years ago. Now that has become the largest e-commerce website in India.

I get lot's of clicks if i pay around 0.5 cents per click! For us or Uk it needs to be higher though

Exactly the reason why I stopped my facebook campaign a year ago. Waste of money if you ask me. Google adwords is any day much better IMO!
