    Hi,

I'm starting to grow my little sales network out now and I want to start getting analytical data so I can spot good long tails.

Obviously Google analytics is a no go because I want to keep as much of my network out of their reach as possible.

What anylitics programs do you guys all use? I only really want to know my keyword / website referrals.

I use Piwik. You can set it up without having to put any Javascript on the pages and there is a way to block outsiders from checking that you have piwik installed.
I think the blocking tool is called piwik shield or something of that sort.

MS would be wise to provide this data as an option. I know I'd use it.

Cheers for the info. Have dabbled with Piwiki before but didn't realise it came with a stealth option.

Will check it out, good rep sent

like Untouchable said, the solution is to setup piwik without Javascript on the pages

Piwik can be quite heavy on the database server. Especially on the reporting interface, it makes hundreds of heavy duty queries in order to generate reports. I had Piwik on a large site and it collected so much data the database grew gigabytes per week, I had to take it down so I wouldn't spend 2 to 3 hours weekly playing database analyst.
