First of all, sorry for the dumb questions, im completly new to setup a VPS.

    Just a few Questions:

What is needed to run a VPS 24 Hours a Day for download/upload from Chrome or Mozilla Browser ?

Do the VPS Server need my local Internet Conection for download/uploading ?

Is it possible to shutdown my Home Computer while the VPS is running online ?

I would pay for the Information - Already tried the VPS from google and "AppOnFly" (there you get a trial)
But it seems they need my local Connection to stay online (?)

I tried to upload Video Content and shutdown my Home Computer, the VPS Conection disconnected - What i need to stay online with the VPS without home local conection ?

A Answer to this would help me alot,
    Thank you!

Virtual Private Servers run independent from your home computer, and are online 24/7.

You do need to use your home internet connection to access the VPS, but any software you have running on VPS will continue to work, even when closed (providing you have pick the right option.. close, not shut down).

Minimum 2GB RAM. Ideal is 4GB RAM. Less RAM and Chrome/Mozilla will keep crashing. KVM virtualization. A Windows VPS or Linux VPS. You need software that will connect you to the interface of the VPS. It's free.

Do the VPS Server need my local Internet Conection for download/uploading ?

No. But you need an internet connection to connect to the VPS remotely.

Is it possible to shutdown my Home Computer while the VPS is running online ?

Yup. It works independently from your computer.

Talk to your new hosting provider about your needs. If you need a recommendation, let me know. They'll help you and explain this to you. Choosing one of the biggest hosting providers (Google) will get you no good support for free.

A good setup. Look at previous answer.

Thanks for the Answer, i follow your steps, but still get the same Result:

Login to the Video Sites, upload from C:/ Disk, Videos get in uploadprogress, i close (x) the VPS Window while it uploads the Videos (no shutdown the server)

10sec later i login to see if its still uploading, but it says "please check your internet, you get disconected"

Would a FTP Server be helpful ? Dont have a clue how to conect them or set them up :(

Whose steps are you following, mate? Nobody gave you any steps in this thread. We just answered your answered.

What kind of shitty hosting provider did you choose that can't help you in this elementary setup?

    Demand more, get more.
