So i ran into a Facebook ad for some glasses that supposedly protect you when you look at computer screens a lot, which i do.

They protect from blue light and this and that and the other thing. And theyre only $15 bucks. Im not Bill Gates ovet here, but i can afford that much.

Supposedly theyre $30 actually, but theyre at a discount at the moment or whatever.

Im thinking about it. Anyone uses these kinds of glasses? Worth getting?

Yeah I considered this a few years ago but I'm on the computer 14hrs + each day most days and my eyesight is still fine so gunna wait until I start going blind.

I don't trust these things but instead there is eye protection settings in the monitors itself.

Also keeping your Nutrition on point will protect you much better and more than these bait products would.

Yeah see thats exactly the thing. Ive been on a computer 14+ hrs a day for the past 7 years. In fact currently im surrounded by 3 lap tops and 3 computer monitors at all times.

My vision is still tits, which surprises me. But prevention is always better than the cure. So im thinking of getting these.

Thats what im wondering. Are these glasses helpful for real or is it just hype bs.

Im just about to watch this video. Im gonna share it here first so we can all watch it together at he same time <3 :D

Was maybe useful with old monitor in 90s but now i think obsolete ))

Okay, after having watched the video and therefore have become an Expert on the subject.

It would seem that they can either help, or not help. But theres no weird controversy about the glasses having any negative effects, such as giving you cancer or aids :p

Therefore, having studied the medical literature extensively, $15 bucks may just be worth it.

Ask your local eye doctor. I consulted a couple different ones on this last year and they both said that the 'blue light filtering' lenses are not well regarded in the literature. There is no clear benefit and it's a sales gimmick at this point.

My advice is to not get your health advice from BHW and instead consult true experts. You only two eyes :alien:

Experts schmexperts :)

$5 bucks says your dentist doesnt know dick about maintaining teeth, only knows to drill and fill.

$5 bucks says most doctors in any field dont know dick about prevention and protection, because thats not what makes them money

The internet is all we have :)

Ive been using this for a month now and my eye strain is significantly lower. It didnt remove the eye strain entirely but i can feel the added comfort.

Usually for blue light its anti- reflective coating and yellow tint.
used to work at a optometrist place.

All of my computer engineering friends get their lenses coated with the anti-blue light computer screen material when they get new glasses. They go into the Warby Parker or JINS to get them. You can totally tell they have the film on them because they have a tint to them when you look at them. I don't have them yet. Will probably get them on my next ones.

My brother play games 14-18 hours daily, and his eyes are still fine, and me who barely go 6 hours, I am wearing glasses
