    hello,
if this topic is not allowed here because it could be seen as cracking related stuff then please delete this thread.

does anybody here knows a reliable md5 decryption service?
i have few hundred encrypted md5 hashes that i would like to have decrypted and all free online services i tried were not that satisfying.
now i was looking for a paid service who can take care of it but i didn´t find one.
so if anybody of you know a good service please let me know.

    thanks, darkstar69

thanks, but from here http://freerainbowtables.com you even can get about 1800GB of rainbowtables for free.
but i don´t really want to download almost 2TB of files and then run the rainbowtable cracker for i don´t know how long.
i would have to buy a new computer then with a supported GPU to don´t wait for months to get it done.
that´s why i ask for a paid service to take care of it.
    thanks anyway :)

You didn't understand what rainbow tables are. :)

They are designed to be a trade-off between memory and speed. So, people are pre-calculating gazillions of md5s and store them on rainbow tables. So, using a rainbow table will either crack the md5 in a few moments - or never ;)

You only need GPU power if you want to create you own special rainbow table. That 's why there is a market. They sell pre-made tables so that people don't bother for months to make them themselves.

i know what rainbowtables are and i also know how to use them
but at the moment i don´t have any pc´s with a supported nvidia GPU so even with rainbowtables it still would take some time to check all the hashes and different charsets.
i tried it with rainbowcrack without GPU support and although i ran few more threads it still took much time only to check only few tables for 250 hashes at once.
and i think you are wrong when you say that the GPU support is only used to create the rainbow tables because what i know it still is helpful for decrypting because the GPU is able to run much more commands at once then the normal CPU.
you don´t have to forget, it´s few hundred hashes all charsets together it will also be few hundred different rainbow tables because each charset is splitted into pieces of 400MB.
however, i don´t wanted to open a discussion here about rainbowtables and hot to use them because that i already know and i also know that i tried to decrypt the hashes myself and how long it took.
and even if rainbowtables are of course much faster then to bruteforce it still takes some time especially when i need to decrypt hundreds of hashes and don´t know the charset so that i also have to use all different kind of hashsets.
at least are that the experiences i had when i tried to decrypt the hashes myself.
and i think i didn´t made so much wrong because with decrypting in general i´m little bit familar for about 6 years now.
but thanks again for your efforts :)

Hey Darkstar69, didn't mean to sound offensive in any way :)

I responded because I used this (the livecd) years ago on wooden pcs and it worked for me.

    Best of luck!

    i don´t feel offended.
and you are right that it won´t take so long with rainbowtables when you have everything loaded.
but it still takes much time to load all the different rainbowtables and then load all the different hashes to compare to the tables.
so still it´s not a process of minutes.
if it only were few hashes and if i would know the charset then of course rainbowtables would be the way to go.
but with the lack of infos and the big amount of hashes and different tables it´s still an extremly time consuming process.
however, thanks for your efforts anyway.
