It's a giant textbook of SEO on Amazon (like 700+ pages I think). I haven't read but I have heard great things about it from colleagues in Dallas.
Have any of you guys/gals read it? And if so, would you recommend it?

That is what I was thinking too. It's still a long wait though.

Do you have any reading recommendations?

wtf 700 pages on SEO lol.

Get some web 2.0 links, PBN links, make sure your keyword density is 1% - 3%, diversify you anchor text by making like 70 different anchors all with your target keyword in it and there you go.

I also use about 10-20 % generic and 10% url. As long as your exact match keywords do not pass 10% ur fine.

I just saved you from reading 700 pages for nothing :)

I always think that the best way to learn something is to get your hands dirty, if you want to learn SEO, read this forum and start a few sites.
They will probably fail but the experience and knowledge you gain will be helpful.
Start a couple of sites now, start writing some great content, then in 3 months when the book is released you can use it to guide you.
Remember though, most books just cover the basics which you will find on BHW, and many aren't up to date (even ones recently released).

See.. that is exactly what I have been doing. I have had a couple successes in IM and SEO, but I want to reach that next level. For example, here in Dallas I attend DFWSEM, they host monthly networking meetings and talks. While networking I talk to some individuals who know so MUCH more than what is discussed in BHW. Like they dive down deep and just tear the sh!# out of Google. And they are not some guys just b.s.-ing just to show off. I think I learned from them more about SEO strategy than I have ever learned from BHW (and I have learned a lot from BHW). But still I want to expand my knowledge. I want to know what they know, however, they are managing like million dollar campaigns (I am exaggerating) so they get to experiment a lot more than I do and therefore learn a lot more from trial and error.
There might be not so much to learn about SEO, as somebody said, but everybody has their own technique and I love finding ways to implement their tricks into my growth.

I never read the book in its entirety but from what I read it definitely won't be a waste of your time. Some sections can get quite redundant and a little boring but I would recommend referring to the preface and choosing sections of the book that spark your interest. Happy reading!
