So Im trying to get some pants shipped from China and the price for shipping is somewhat baffling to me. Im being told it would cost 8-10 usd per pair in bulk order units of 100-200. Now if you do the math that's 800-1000 usd spent on shipping ALONE, the product costs less than that. Is this accurate or what's going on? Are there nay shipping solutions that wouldn't be so expensive?

What's the total weight of the shipment and how is it going to be shipped ?

Unless you have those info's is just guessing.

Here are some ballpark figures for DHL :

    1 kg - 50 bucks
    10 kg - 14 bucks per kg
    25 kg - 10 bucks per kg
    100 kg - 8 bucks per kg

Those are rates that apply for pretty much any Asian Country to North America.

Pants are more heavy then they are bulky so volume weight does not apply here

    FEDEX and UPS are similar.

Postal rates especially from China are cheaper but there is a max. weight per parcel and rates are computed on 1st kg so and so much and each additional kg so much.

Sea freight is the cheapest option but not worth it for 100 pants. Way to many "fixed " cost per shipment regardless of weight or volume.

chinese clothing is always one or two sizes smaller than north american clothing. so if you order a large, it'll fit like a small or medium.

You should use China Post instead of DHL, FeedEx etc. It's much cheaper. Look at AliExpress for example.

Yes. I did those circa 2003. Whenever I bought in large quantities, they would offer to pay shipping, this was before Aliexpress/Alibaba craze. Find a better supplier.

How large of quantities are you talking? Also suppliers now say "free shipping" but that really just means we added the shipping price onto the price we quoted you.

China offers one of the cheapest posting service, you may want to ask your seller to find out a better option or back out.
