Since the "Slap" I've noticed that my quick indexing methods (that worked very well for me prior to the slap) are generating inconsistent results. Some lenses get indexed in Google in a few days with little effort and others take weeks (or longer).

Are any of you able to consistently get your lenses indexed quickly? What are you doing to get these results?

Just for the record, I'm not creating spam lenses and I'm doing keyword phrase/tag optimization when I set them up (primary keyword tag in URL, in lens title and in the first sentence of introduction).

    Any advice?

i have also had quite a hard time with squidoo lens, i usually get my websites indexed within a day, but when i created a lens it took me like 3 days to get it indexed, despite the fact that i used all my possible tricks and techniques. Very strange indeed, i think that squidoo is not the future right now, we have to look for something else.

It's hard to say Modeals, but I think it would be a mistake to write it off because of this. I'm going to continue to create lenses, but I won't commit any serious amounts of time to further develop any of them unless I can get the lens on the 1st page of Google.

I had success in getting them indexed but they seem to rank very low.

    And what about HubPages?
Can we still use them for SERP Bumpers?
    Any feedback with them?

I just started playing around with HubPages - set up a few hubs when EZA wanted to give me a hard time. From what I understand they got "slapped" too, so it might not be easy to use for SERP juice.

Have you looked at http://clipmarks.com/ or http://www.bumpzee.com/? A while back I set up KW phrase named accounts to link to my same keyword niche Squidoo lenses. My clipmarks and bumpzee were indexed/ranked well in the SERPS for my KWs, but they didn't help me get any fast indexing.

I'm curious, are you guys looking to rank well with competitive search or have you tried optimizing terms with longtail keywords?

I still have a lens that shows on the first page of Google for my term not to mention the internal site traffic I've received to my lens for simply getting involved in the community.

I dunno anymore. Since they took out the able to frame an optin I just almost stopped. I still make over $100 a week but that's with like 200 lenses. I did happen to garner about 28,000 double optins when I was going strong. I just mail the fuck out of them though about 3 times a month. 1 with free info and 2 offers.

$100 for 200 lenses isn't good. Are you ranked number 1 with the lenses?

$100 per wk for a portfolio of 200 lenses is good post-Google slap (based on what other lensmasters have posted on SquidU). Ruck would probably be making more from his lenses if he was ranked #1 in the SERPs.

    Yea,

I don't even have my logins anymore. A ton of them got wiped I'm sure. I still see Squidoo lenses everday for gambling terms though and these lenses are pure shit usually, so it's working for someone. Speak up!

Based on my recent experience, you can get 1st page with hubs for long tail keywords in about 4 days, but unless you've got backlinks to it from authority sites, it probably won't bump your SE ranking.

I guess I'll chime in here. I built a lens 3 days ago for a launch that started today...I was a little pissed that I didn't get advanced warning because the guy's a major player and I know it's going to be huge. I went in half-assed expecting nothing and threw up a Lens, figuring "If it gets indexed or doesn't...I don't care."

I slapped it together, bookmarked it with onlywire, and posted something on propeller linking to it. It was indexed! 3 days, DONE!

I think the key is having lots of text so it doesn't look really spammy.

Nice going Diabolik. Yeah, I believe in giving the best content I can w/o giving away the farm (unless it's a tutorial lens). But let me ask, how competitive are the keywords/tags for this product launch? I could be wrong, but I think you can get a lens indexed quickly IF your keywords/tags have low competion in the SE results.
