I've found a bunch of domains that are listed in Dmoz that I can buy for a decent price. The only thing is they're mostly generic or nonsensical and there's only the odd niche. Do they still have any value do you think?

    Yes.

Because it is reasonably difficult (mostly annoying and time consuming) to get a site listed in DMOZ it is likely that Google gives some sort of ranking boost to those sites (even if those boosts are small) because the odds of a really low quality site being listed in DMOZ is lower compared to sites that didn't take the time and effort to get listed in DMOZ.

And even if the value of a DMOZ listed site on Google is small, it has a fair amount of resell value.

Ok, I'll snap up a few and do a BST for it. PM me for a mailing list link if you want to know when they go up. Thanks for the advice guys.
