Last night, I installed a social feather plugin and only I could see it. Now, I come back today and it's viewable on some pages but not on others and an older disabled plugin is showing on some. I've messed around with settings and tried lots of different combinations but I'm not particularly experienced with Wordpress so it hasn't worked. Any advice or if you'd care to take a look on the inside that would be great. I'll be back on later so if you can help reply here or PM me. Thank you!

If you have a caching plugin installed, either turn off the plugin or flush the cache. Then you should see your social feather stuff.

The other thing is, that your new plugin may be conflicting with another plugin, thus it not showing properly. The only way to know, is to disable all other plugins, verify that the social feather plugin is working properly, then start turning the disabled plugin on one at a time. Checking to make sure the social feather plugin is working properly after each one is turned on. If it stops working after turning a plugin, then that is the plugin that it doesn't want to play nice with. Then you have to figure out which plugin you want more, the social feather plugin of the one it has a conflict with.

All good advice there. I would stick with the cache problem before I started installing/uninstalling. Wordpress can be slow to update so sometimes changes dont happen instantly. Also depends on your server.

When I am doing updates on WP I have another machine switched on with a different browser, so if I am working on my PC in firefox I will have chrome running on my laptop to see if changes are updating.

Those damn caching plugins can cause all sorts of weirdness to happen. The best is when you spend an hour or so bashing your face on a small problem just to solve it within 60 seconds of pressing the "clear cached pages" button.

    /facepalm

I've done that! Moving things around the whole site in cpanel etc trying to fix a glitch and then 'Clear Cache' solves it, I should have probably guessed that, that was the problem this time!

Glad you got it figured out.
Sometimes, you just need slap to the back of the head, to wake you up. Often times, it is the easy stuff that stumps you.
    Glad I could help.
