Started a working on a new site around 6 months ago and im ranking for a decent amount of longtail kws.

I have tried asking for guest posts but not had much luck.

Tried outreach for broken links and resource links and managed to get 2 links.

Due to the unusual niche that site is in, there are not many prospects to target.

I have pretty much ran out of targets to email now.

So, is there any types of links that I could safely build (ones that pretty much any webmaster would be expected to build), other than niche directories/forums and blog comments.

I usually rank sites the blackhat way, but decided to create a few 100% whitehat sites.

I'm not affiliated with this seller in anyway but @jefis maintains a large database of websites where you can manually create links.

I've not personally tried it yet but it's on my to do list. I don't think those links will rank you for any massive keywords but I'm sure they'll help for med/low and diversity.

I'd be keen to hear anyones experience with it if they have tried it.

Ive signed up for that directory and feel it's solid. It is VERY large and covers just about everything you could imagine. But, you might not get a lot of traffic from those links maybe, but it will help your backlink profile no doubt, which would help you rank better and maybe when doing outreach then you might get taken more seriously.

I would analyze my competitors' backlinks. Create any possible links where they have them and you don't.
