I was wondering, do people really collect TV Shows? Is it worth collecting them? I mean, you're going to go buy a box set of some TV show, watch all of the episodes and then what? Leave the thing so that it collects dust? I can understand collecting movies, but are you really going to watch a TV show all over again?

I personally brought the topic up because there are TV Shows I like and I would love to own a box set but then again I don't really see myself re-watching a TV show which would render the box set a waste of space. This is really stupid but it seems to be bothering my mind.

I'd guess it's just collecting something for the sake of collecting something. Personally I cannot comprehend getting anything that one could get digitally, in a box format.

Why you do need to buy them, make same collection right on your pc, download all episodes, find nice looking icon for your folder, you have now box set))

I love tv shows, and probably watched just tooo many, I did watch prison break, lost, sopranos, big bang theory 2 times.
And I would never get tired of The Walking Dead nor The Game of The Thrones.

I do collect TV shows and i do watch them all over again as long as there is a story that you need to follow episod by episod. By collect i mean HDD storage, i'm really not after the packaged box / bonus and all that crap .

I watched many times the following :

    Friends
    Jericho
    Prison Break
    The Shield
    Breaking Bad
    The walking dead

And some others that i'll watch again
    Games Of thrones
24H but only to chill / work at the same time

I'm about to duplicate all movies / tv show to avoid to loose them ;).

Well I didn't literally mean a box set. Digital collections also take up a lot of space, at least in HD quality.

I think the only TV series from start to end that I've watched was Arrested Development. I would collect that. That show is hilarious.

I do collect them. I wouldn't watch them again but it's hard for me to let the good ones go which is why I collect them. I, for some reason, get emotionally attached to the shows (weird!)

Wow I watch those exact TV shows as well. If I have the luxury I woudn't mind buying and collecting my favorite TV shows, nothing beats watching it on the big screen crisp and clear.

Used to be like that as well. Always had like 4 TB's of shit around the house, although that was back when I was in the "P2P scene", but still...

Kinda glad I'm out from that downward spiral, and just having like 1,5-2 TB total, and that's all pretty much work related stuff.
