    Hello there,

I have just been hit by a friend about a SEO customer who wants to be ranked top 3 on a difficult query.

Difficult in travis, 7M competition in quotes.

SO first of all, i said it is impossible for his flash website which is brand new with 5 pages indexed by google. (how to install flash plugin as snippet)

I said budget 5k$ with 6-9 months duration.

I don't expect to rank him on the main keywords but on some long tailed one.

Although, do you have any tips to rank those ? Is backlinks is going to be enough ?

He has a news section in his website, i figured i could delete it from his flash website (if he has the dev files ofc ....) and build a blog around his keywords using the root domains.

Is it going to be enough ? WHat do you guys suggest ?

Thanks for the tips you would provide.

    1) Cloak the website, give SE spiders some juicy html text and possibly don't render the flash. Combo fantomaster IP database / user agent / reverse DNS cloaking.

    or

    2) Use css absolute positioning to place juicy keyword text underneath where your flash goes.

    3) Backlinks, backlinks, backlinks.

I have built only one flash website after I became an established webmaster and took it to no.1 in Google for the relevant keyword. I had to use Flash in that case as it was related to a local business where looks mattered more than SE traffic. But I also used the keyword in the title tag, created custom meta keywords and description for including those too and also included at the footer of the site with a hyperlink. However, it was very easy keyword as so qualitative authority plus recommendation from other authority sites and minimal whitehat SEO worked out then. There was virtually no competition with quality websites and so, that case was different. Authority and reputation merely trumped everyone and brought it to the top but otherwise, flash websites are a bit more difficult compared to normal sites to be frank.

EDIT: Forgot to mention it was a EMD domain too and before the Panda hit. LOL
