There are a few websites that I want to track down who designed them to hire to design sites for me and I was just wondering if anyone has any tips for finding out who made a website?

Some things I've tried so far:

    - Looking at the source code.

    - Googling website name web design to try and find it on the designer's portfolio on their personal site.

Try an e-mail to webmaster@thatdomain.com. That may get to the one running the site, and they may know who built it.

Try an e-mail to the whois registrar and ask them, they may know.
