I am dealing with this problem. Almost 15+ my seed keywords are in stuck between position #5-#7 on Google SERP. My competitors don't have quality links as much as I have, though they rank above my website. I am trying my best to get into the #1 / #2 position, but it's not happening. One drawback is my competitor's domains are aged domain, whereas my domain age is around 11 months.

I am looking for some suggestions. Every kind of recommendation will be appreciated. Thanks.

If I were you, I would defo try my best to improve the onpage SEO as offpage SEO is already better than higher results as you said. Age factor is something you cannot control except doing 301 redirect from a very old domain with high authority in exactly the same niche which would make it look older to Google than your competitors and same niche to make it look (to Google) like you migrated your old site to this new one. Hope this makes sense and please correct me if I'm wrong here. Cheers :)

Don't forget they can be using PBNs even if it looks like you have more links than they do.

Focus on getting better On-Page SEO than them and then keep getting high-quality backlinks, eventually, it should at least get you in the top 3. (Only if the top 3 metrics aren't that high - low backlink, no authority, etc.)

as mentioned already try updating your on-page SEO and add more backlinks.
maybe create your own PBN and over time you could outrank your competition.

Keep adding content and links, it will move up. Also, focus on site speed, bounce rate.

The website loads under 2 Seconds on Computer and In mobile devices, it's under 3.5 Seconds(Which fulfill google's recommendation). Bounce rate is below 25% (Exactly 22%). I am going to try to add more quality links via guest posts. (Basically 70% of my links were earned by guest posts, rest of them are forum links). BTW, Thanks for your suggestion, dude.

Appreciate your words. Even my last thread on BHW was precisely about "What yo consider before buying an expired domain." Some experts shared their experiences and point of view, learned a lot from that thread. I have already shortlisted some expired domain, now just checking their penalty status and domain authority. Will definitely redirect them to my main site after buying them. Maybe this will help me to improve my SERP Ranking. BTW, Thanks.

Glad my words are useful to you my friend! Cheers :)

Already have a decent amount of backlinks. I should focus more on-page SEO and build some PBN / redirect some expired domains to my money site. According to you, Which will be more beneficial, PBN / 301 Redirect?

you need run Ads, you can't see traffic, you don't know how much money they spend for traffic so don't surprise sometime bad content but still on top because tons of traffic from ads or some where come but you can't see

Update older content, also add something like "Updated 2020..." etc in the title old articles.

Building a proper silo architecture along will be helpful as well.

I think google disagrees with you here.

#5-6 is good so you're doing something right... but the higher you go the more difficult it is to move up. Add some content and links.

Work on your CTR. Tweak your title and meta descriptions and also try to optimize your post to win the snippet position.

Below are some tutorials on CTR and snippet optimization that can help.

Featured snippet -

Definitely will deep dive these guides. I have watched the Income School's video and loved it. But some of the keywords (not the all) already having featured snippets, so is it possible to outrank them and appear in the featured snippets? Because as I am seeing, one of my posts got featured snippets two months ago, and still, it's in the same position. Even I have heard that if one article is in the featured snippets spot, then it's very tough to outrank them. Here comes a question; should I try the "WIN Snippets" process for those keywords that have already featured snippets in the Google SERP? BTW, Thanks for the Backlinko's CTR guide, seems like gem :)

Yes, you should try to win snippets even when there are snippets already. The way i do this is by providing a more detailed and straight to the point answer when compared to what is already ranking on the featured snippet position. Just do as explained in that Income School video and you should stand a chance.
