Sent over 30 emails expression my passion for this niche and how I'd love to write a guest post for them so that I could share my love for this niche with their readers and complimented their website and all that but from the 30 emails only got 2 answers, 1 accepted but had terrible metrics and the other was asking for 65? per guest post.

I hate those "outreach" Emails, I know these are SEOs that are sending 1000s of mails and I look at it as a spam.

They usually start with how "awesome" my blog is, and how they wanna help me grow readership by submitting "relevant content" and how great their writing skills are. I fucking hate them.

Lots of these monkeys send URLs to their previously published content (to prove me how awsuuum they are) and most of the times this is either some crap or links are dead (even entire sites dead, because these were fake sites).

Well considering how limited my budget is doing these things is really the only way for me to actually get decent backlinks since PBN isn't possible for me, unfortunately seems like I'm not that lucky either so I don't seem to be able to get any of these websites to accept my offer

Look around for "community" type of sites first. Big sites have pages where readers post their content. You can easily get a couple of dozens of links this way and at least one third to be do follow

Will try finding, however I'm in the technology niche so communities are mostly made of forums and those are usually heavily monitored

You cant just email for guest posts these days. You have to figure your niche and thrn do some blog commenting, givem some participatory examples of your content through that. Also follow them and retweet....basically get on their radar before you pitch them. Ill post some good links for this when im off my mobile.

If you are in the tech. niche, then you should know that most of this sites owners are more interested in sponsored posts.

But you should keep trying.. Send at least 200 emails and maybe you will get 1% conversion.

Well, I'm sending about 5-10 a week now, hope I eventually can get some.

Also this isn't really related to the thread but any tips about writing articles related to reviews?

I usually just start with a small introduction and proceed to list 1-2 products, under each product I list their specifications along with price and a button to buy on amazon.

At the end I just write a small conclusion sharing my own personal opinion on my favorite product and that's that.

I have a hard time reaching 550-700 words though.

    My conversion is TERRIBLE.

    391 clicks 16 ordered items 4.09% conversion :l

I had a worse rate for guest post outreach as well. Most of them are charging like $25-$100 for low DA and low traffic site. This is one of the reasons why I prefer PBN to guest post.

I like this guide by Brian Dean.

I liked reading this thread on bhw that is from the other side of the conversation, people accepting guest posts on their site, you can take a look at what they think about and their concerns, it might help to take that into consideration when you are planning your outreach.

Guest post outreach is really more complex than it used to be, you have to filter for TF/CF aka good site metrics, then you have to touch them on multiple social media channels in addition to their blog in the comments section. You have to make yourself visible to them, they will check you out if you give them enough touches (retweets, comments, likes etc.). After you've been on their radar for a month or so, then I would go about contact them. Some will want money, and you know what, if the metrics are there it might be worth it. At least to get your foot in the door, he may find your content brings in traffic, value etc. and decide not to charge you next time around.

I will tell you a cheap way to get people's attention, Send Out Cards. You can send a whole bunch of stuff (I send brownies to my centers of influence that give me referrals) in addition to cards. Guarantee if you take the time to send a card, it will pay major dividends and help you stand out from the rest, that is if they have contact details on their site.

Here are some really great articles on the subject to make you an expert at outreach:

I am not talking about forums. Also, these can be in any niche. There are a lot of political sites with these community posts and some beauty sites etc...search around, I wont do it for you. People are selling thee for $5-$30 on BHW and Fiverr...search for it.

It won't be enough to increase your conversion rate. Keep increase the number of emails to send.

Check below things with the guest blogs before reach out,

    - posts/articles must be updated frequently
    - publishes article with new trends

For best conversion, you can go with the community sites first as SKyrocketSEO said.

    Best Wishes - BB

I think I know ehat you mean. are they kinda like article directories except for niche specific? Also wouldnt links from these be somewhat worthless like article directories in general? Since its open to public its probably been massively used already and as such the links lose value unlike private sites? Sorry if i sound retarded or something lol, but im genuinely interested will keep searching once i get home

I tried guest posting but the quality I received weren't that good. Hence, I write myself and that has satisfaction plus Google love this sort of content. Remember, quality is better than quantity when comes to seo marketing.

Why should they accept your guest blog article? Are you bringing something new to their site that their readers will actually want to read or are you just rehashing some basic bullshit for a backlink? The people that own these blogs aren't stupid and unsurprisingly they really don't want some native written tier2 quality article shitting up their blogs.

I'm not necessarily saying that's the case here, but if you're using the exact same tactic as the shitters that do, your email is going straight in the trash with along with theirs.

I agree with Gromit, it has to be something exceptional. I like Tommy's idea of offering infographics in exchange for the backlink. Doesn't require near as much brainstorming as coming up with a new angle on a subject, just has to be striking.
