As the title says. I have gained 40K subs in the past year , I get about 2-5K legit views a video but I don't feel like spending 50$ / video anymore just so I can compete with all the people ranked first for all these high competition tags. And what's even worse is than even when I buy 50K views for example + the organic views that I get , my videos only stay ranked for a few days while those other videos have been posted months or years ago , they get the same views per hour or lower as me and yet their rank barelly changes.

I am doing everything right , I post good videos , high quality , SEO is done perfectly , thumbnails are great too , I have all my keywords 5+ times in the description. I've bought backlinks , social signals and what not for my channel URL. Another thing that I find odd is that if I type in one of the words that my channel name consists of in the youtube search ( it is high competition ) and change the filter to channels , my channel is all the way on page 10 , yet you have channels with significantly less subs and engagement ranked on page 1 and 2. I don't want to start a new channel cuz I've spent way too much time , money and effort on this one . I honestly feel like the channel itself is fukked . Youtube hates me for some reason .

How do you rank for something for a longer time period ? I tried what people told me , keep adding views to it little by little but that doesn't seem to be working either. Anyone having similar problems or is it just me ?

These days YouTube just rank those videos that have high minutes views. I don't know what you are doing. If you create high quality videos then why people don't watch the whole video. If people watch whole video then your videos must be ranked. Anyway good luck.

Hard and Smart work always pays you but it takes time don't worry.

If your rank is bad because you don't get enough organic views under your keyword, your keyword/niche is too wide. You are not able to compete under this keyword (maybe because of less comments, likes, shares and subscription in comparison to your views - nobody knows how the algorithm is working).

If your keyword/niche is too wide, you have to go deeper. Stupid example: If you create Let's Plays, you should be more specific, eg. JRPG Let's Plays. Yes, the money you can make in a tight niche is less than the money you can make in a wide niche ...but you're able to build up a much stronger and more interactive fanbase. Maybe 10 views of your channel subscribers were better evaluated by the algorithm than 100 views by random people (nobody knows how it's working).

It's the same principle like with every other business: Positioning is everything. You can't step into a high competitive market (just because there's the big money) and expect to get big results. You're invisible. You have to position yourself very specific, take the less money first and become broader with the time to make the bigger sums. That's the sense of keyword/niche analysis.

I don't want to say that there are no levers to scale your success (eg. fake views, comments, subscribers) but it just makes sense if you scale something that is already working. Otherwise your success is just temporal and you have to keep up investing to hold your level. But that's not the sense.

Google for "business positioning" or "product positioning" and you know what I mean.

You've basically just asked for the holy grail. And it will be niche-specific.
