Just wondering if you guys see any potential stocks worth buying some options on, after the recent sell offs.

I have my eye on a few on the big names G, Amazon for a nice flip.

    Just curious.

Bought some calls on AMZN, EBAY, some airlines too.

I never touch the big G since it's very expensive and too volatile for me. What are your play?

I daytrade index futures, mainly mini SP (ES) & Russell (ER). I make 10 - 50 trades per week in the indices ... depending upon how busy I might be with clients and such. For daytrading I use mostly technical analysis. Been doing well with it for 3 years, been into it for almost 5 years.

Haven't been doing options lately since, for me, it requires more fundamental analysis than that for which I have time at present. And I just don't trade equities since I don't want the corporate and sector exposure, on top of the market exposure. I hate studying the calendar for earnings announcements and such, so I stick with the indices.

Been trading actively lately though, as usual.

    Best,
    Sine

P.S. When I do trade options, I never buy ... I sell naked and covered calls mostly. Also some straddles and strangles now and again.

Health related stocks. Specifically, diabetes. I've been dumping money into Dexcom (DXCM), a mfr of continuous glucose monitors. Stock was at about $5.79 when I jumped in back in June of 09. It closed out the year at about $13.70. Consensus strong buy is a target of $17.00 and is almost a lock to be bought out by Johnson & Johnson which would be huge.

Chump change :p look at my post about DXCM. I'm up about 225% with over 20,000 shares. I'm in on this one long term. I don't day trade.

I would put a call on AGNC. They have a 20% dividend, as REITs are required to distributed 90% of there income. They have 11.5 bln in assetts, but has a public market value of 1.6 bln.

Basically, if the interest rates stay relatively low, this REIT will continue to give out a sweet dividend, plus its way undervalued and should go up.

I've been in for about a year, couldn't be happier.

    Apple and Verizon.

CES expo is the 6-9th, gonna cause some buying.
Also, Verizon iPhone confirmed for release by Bloomberg by the end of Feb. May not see it until end of Q1 but it will definitely boost Verizon's stock a shit load.

My tip, look for 'specials' like BP getting hammered after the spill, buy when everyone else is bailing, I bought miners after the credit crunch and made a killing.

my tip: cloud computing service providers such as salesforce.

cloud computing is about the become the biggest new technology in the IT market. Expected to become a 500 billion dollar market so yeah ignoring this would rather be stupid. buy stocks while they're still cheap.

Greenstocks - Alt Energy. Solar. Sunpower, firstsolar etc.
Wind - GE is not to be overlooked. #1 seller of wind.

Although, I just let my 3 year old pick the stocks. I have done better this way :)
