So in every thread that mentions music you will most probably see hip hop, rap (don't really know the difference here) or worse yet...this pop crap that has been a polluting the world for the past decade, the likes of Rihanna, Lady Gaga and those kids trying to do music but failing miserably.

I wanna know if there are some real hard rockers here. Now I don't just mean hard rock with this, I mean the whole spectrum of music associated with rock, which I consider to be: rock, hard rock, heavy metal, folk rock, root rock, rock rock, blues, blues rock...you get the point ?

Can't pick a favorite song right now but I guess if I had to choose it would be What it is by Mark Knopfler.

Regarding the bands, jeez, there's so many good bands out there but I'll name some of the stuff I like the most:

    Whitesnake
    AC/DC
    Dire Straits (Mark Knopfler)
    Steve Vai
    Gary Moore
    Stevie Ray Vaughan
    ...
    ad infinitum

    What about you guys /'n' gals/ ?

Actually, one of the things I admire about Mark Knopfler is that he didn't try to prolonge the band until it falls apart. He just came forward said...you know all these gigs are really interfering with the creation of new music and quite frankly it has become a bit too much for me...and that's what it is.

He didn't try to regroup the band later on in chase of lost fame, that's one of the things that I liked most about him, of course his music is without contestation.

Yea I get ya. Mark toured Europe last year and I was really sad that I didn't have a chance to see the show. I hope that I'll be able to see AC/DC while they're still touring.

Glad to see that there are people here that still like the real hard 'n' heavy music and not this pop crap that all these kids, have been listening to :D

For those of you who haven't seen it, this is probably one of the best concerts ever recorded. I didn't want to post it initially because of it's widespread popularity but it really is an amazing show, if you want more videos like this just look for AC/DC at river plate on YouTube, all of them are really amazing.
