Any recommendations? (Movies)

    So I've been lazy today and watching movies all day. I was wondering if anyone could recommend some good Mafia movies for me? Or maybe a good action movie, or maybe a movie with some assassins? You get the trend. I want something with a lot shooting, car chases, etc. I can't think of anymore to watch. The newer the better but as long as its Post-1980 that's fine.:) Maybe something you've watched recently that you thought was awesome.

    That is the best movie I've ever seen so far. Forget the Godfather and Scarface! :cool:

    goodfellas, surprised no one has mentioned it already. Watched hancock last night, not normally a fan of will smith but i loved it.

    If your looking for newer, (action) body of lies was pretty good. Can't go wrong with DiCaprio. Oh, except for titanic, but we'll ignore that one.

    Shoot em up was possibly the worst movie I started to watch - had to turn it off after about ten minutes.

    Casino was a good one

    ha! ha! ha! the worst movie of all time is 'disaster movie'.

    "shoot 'em up" is a *parody* of action movies and is in no-way-shape-or-form
    meant to be taken seriously. that's what put a lot of people off of it, they
    thought it was a serious movie. it looks like a collection of action scenes, and
    as long as you know it's schlock then you won't have a problem with it.

    everything about it is ridiculous and utterly impossible; kinda like a live-action cartoon...
    and that's what makes it work. the good news is that there is a possible sequel in the works. :D

    can't wait....

    p.s. also check out 'crank', it's similar to 'shoot 'em up' -- non-stop action with a
    silly plot.

    Goodfellas is a classic and well worth watching just for Joe Pesci's performance.

    Smokin Aces is one of the better ones I've seen lately.
