I moved into this apartment back in July 2012, waited until November to get a table, then I've been using my table as my computer desk and not had a proper place to eat ever since :p

Today I finally found a desk I like and a nice coupon code and went and bought it, which is sitting upstairs right now. All that's left is a nice little chair!

If anyone has or has used a chair that you absolutely love, that ideally costs $200 or less, I would love to hear about it and any pros/cons!

I have had pretty poor luck with office chairs whether it's those crappy little wheels popping off, the cushions being uncomfortable or the armwrests randomly up and snapping off - this time around I'm hoping for better luck and going to do as much research as I can prior to buying.

Buy one second hand, that way you can usually tell if its going to last, as its been broken in. I got one for $10, and its perfect, brand new it would have costs at least $100

Those aren't actually all that comfortable I think... Granted they're decently cheap for an ergo chair.

I was actually looking at one of these:

Much more expensive, but you can customize it nine ways from sunday. The cushion has 4 different contours, 4 different sizes... same with the back, the arms etc. Haven't gotten to demoing them out yet though.

Thanks for the suggestions guys! I'll take a closer look once I get this (#$()@*$()@#)*U$ desk assembled. I forgot how much "some assembly required" pisses me off :)

You guys have some serious chairs! I really like that Herman Miller design. That Kimball looks pretty sweet too, although the 4-figure price tag is pretty quick to let me call it "out of my price range!"

If its a big dent, then you could wait until the end of the year to buy it then write it off as a business expense. You could possibly even put it under some healthcare tax code. You'll be able to write off atleast part of it. But good chairs are worth it if you spend all day in it for years on end.
