SB link checker is not really working,is there any other tools out there that can do the job?
Sick link checker does the job. Download it from here
I like it. Very useful and until now didn't crashed on same list used with SB Free Link Checker.
If they add all features in future it will compete with Scrapebox Link Checker
I come back with statistics:
list 1 with 144 urls / 10 connections
SB Free Link Checker: 116 found ~ 3min
Sick Link Checker: 109 found ~ 2min
list 1 with 144 urls / 30 connections SB (25 for sick)
SB Free Link Checker: 113 found ~ 1min
Sick Link Checker: 99 found ~ 1min
list 2 with 24 edu urls / 30 connections SB (25 for sick)
SB Free Link Checker: 21 found
Sick Link Checker: 14 found
Conclusion: Sick Link Checker up to 25 miss in found urls compared to Scrapebox Link Checker Free.
So is 25% less AA list VS Crushing... tough decision.
Strange thing is that I would have actually expected this, there are a few ways to check a link is there and it is probable that they use different techinques. Some are more accurate than others and some will have more false positives where another has more false positives. The code to check every eventuality can become quite CPU intensive to be very accurate.
Maybe you are right jimbobo2779.
I have also Scrapebox license so I can use Link Checker from there. Is accurate but my computer is a bit slow for it. CPU (Celeron [email protected]
So until I get an i7 i try different programs to test backlinks.
After reading your post I'm beginning to think 25% less found is a fair trade off vs buying a new computer.
Better results than using sick link checker with 25 threads using Sick Platform Reader (it's free).
Edit filter.txt and make 1 single line:
run it, then in the output folder use found.txt
Isn't this amazing?
Or you can add multiple lines if you search for more websites.
I was digging more because I ran last night sick link checker @25 threads for 135k list and today i found 95k timeout results, so until next version platform reader is better.
Thanks, this saved my ass, I am doing work for a client that couldn't find his links.
If you think losing 25% of a report is a fair trade off for buying a new computer then you are obviously dealing with link checking on such a small level that it its not that big of a deal anyway.
Besides just turn the connections down with scrapeboxes link checker.
The 95K timeouts that were mentioned above are because your inet connection or DNS is too slow to keep up with the connections that you have set, that or your PC. So just slow down or buy more power.
Scrapebox link checker is more powerful not in just accuracy of links found, but its a text checker.
If you put in
hi how are you
It will check for that text and return found.
So you can use it for so much, plus you can just match on domain only rather then full urls.
So the answer to the OP is Scrapeboxes link checker is as good or better then any other out there. So the question I would ask is, how do I more efficiently use it, rather then trying to find another.
My 2 cents.
No longer valid
The link checker integrated in ScrapeBox and the free link checker have not been updated/changed for a long long time.
I guess your proxies are bad.
That's very simple then, reply here with 2 urls. The one you are checking for and the site it's on and not showing up as found so we can all test how wrong the link checker is.
I should have checked it again I guess before my last post,
that was my mistake and I apologize for that.
Yesterday and for a couple of days, I was having trouble,

No longer valid, link checker's are working great.
