All I read is "Major Algo Changes, The Sky Is Falling, We need new strategies" blah blah blah

All the whilst I blast away link building business as usual :D

I feel people are really panicking, just continue to build links and you'll be fine.

Que sera, sera... I haven't been strongly effected either way, but unless you are totally destroyed and can't find the heart to get back in the game, it's just one more thing to factor in, test, and adapt to. For people that had autoblogs, I'm pretty sure they knew they were on top of Google's hit-list to begin with.

I think this strategy is retarded. If something changed, you have to change and adapt as well. Doing things just because this is what you used to do in the past and hoping you'll be fine, that's naive.

If you have not seen any significant change in the serps after the last update, it means you monitor too little keywords, or you have no traffic on them. It's impossible to do seo even at a mediocre level and not observe some significant change in serps after the algo update (either dropping, or gaining serps, depending on your strategy and websites).

I think a lot of people are just blaming everything on the panda update!

People are forgetting that they have competition, google dance PR whatever!

Well I don't run auto-blogs, from what I've read it seems like the auto bloggers were hit, but I mean they should've seen that coming.

I'm talking about people speaking of the drop in value regarding blog commenting, forum profiles etc. I haven't noticed a real difference.

I just create content + build links. No real changes for me.

Then again I don't go after super competitive words like "Internet Marketing" etc.

its impacted me slightly, but as stated, just keep chugging, and the rest will take care of its self. But I have noticed its taking longer than usual to get new sites indexed. and I did lose some big ranking on 1 site, still haven't figured out why, but all the rest are doing great.
