Had a client ask me if I do PDF submissions. Never done them before, but I looked around. Most of the content I found was fairly dated, and I was wondering if anyone was still using these?

Found this post that recommends a few sites, and suggestions?

    Thanks. ~englandrm

I am thinking of using these. Most PR's by default create a PDF of the press release for example and submit them to such sites.. so I think there is validity in doing these.

Honestly, till today I didn't find an evidence that links from PDF/DOC files help in ranking. Last time I tried that technique I wasted 4 hours of my precious time.

I am also new to PDF submission. Reading from your shared link I have come to know that we can optimize our site making a PDF flyer or brochure with your site's link.

Yeah, I feel like it's a more dated technique. Not sure though. If my client wants it mixed in, I guess I'll do it. I just want to know what to expect. Thanks.

Well, I think you must give a try and after finishing your clients job share your experiences with us so that we could learn from you.

    Best of luck :D

I had used this technique been using docstoc and scribbed service, though I haven't seen any links from those sites, but I'm pretty sure it will drive traffic back to your site, just use this with your other link building campaign.
