Does anyone know of a massive url list pinger that can handle about 20,000 pages that don't get your ip banned from pinging too frequently? Preferably one that uses proxies.

rannybo,

You could try using TOR with Joseph T's Blog Pinger. You can get it free after signing up for his list. The url to get it and a few other tools is:

Code:
hxxp://www.cflwaves.com/projects/

After you have it, you can find a regularly updated list of places to ping here:

Code:
http://crappytools.com/pingurls/list.asp

Or...

You could get the free copy of PingSlinger. Not sure if it will do what you want though because I haven't used it. It can be found here:

Code:
http://www.pingslinger.com/indexfree.html

Appreciate the info...I just tried the pingslinger and the software can't handle the load. I'll try the others you posted.

Thanks!

Hi rannybo,

For pingslinger, was the file of urls to large to load into it? I've used Pingslinger Gen II, which is the paid version. I usually have a problem loading a large file into it for pingslinging.

What I used is a free program called TextWedge. It will open a txt file and split it into multiple files. I usually do between 5000 and 10000 lines per file.

If you are interested in the free text file splitter, you can download it here:

Code:
hxxp://sourceforge.net/projects/textwedge/

The Joseph T's Blog Pinger works fine. Thanks again!

The Joseph T's Blog Pinger works fine. Thanks again!

I`m using this Blog Pinger too. It works fine.

But SmallStorm, how to configure TOR to work with Blog Pinger?
I see TOR is working with Firefox perfectly.

But Blog Pinger is not using TOR.

Where and what should I do to make Blog Pinger and TOR works together?

Please help! :thanks:

How to configure Blog Pinger to work with TOR?

Firefox is using the TOR. Blog Pinger - not.
What should I do to fix it?

I use also the Joseph T's Blog Pinger with great success

Is there really a benefit to pinging every google blog domain?

I've just manually used pingoat.com and pingomatic.com with success.

Doesn't Blog Pinger have a box labeled "Use Proxy"? Mine does. Should be able to put 127.0.0.1 and port 8118

Or what you could do is go download for free Proxy Firewall. Located here: hxxp://uniqueinternetservices.com/proxy-firewall-download.html

After you have Proxy Firewall installed, go to the Open Proxies tab and click HTTP(S). Then add a new proxy. In this case, it will be 127.0.0.1 and port 8118

Now when you run a program, Proxy Firwall will intercept it and ask for the first time how do you want to allow for the program to connect. For Blog Pinger, select Use Proxy. Then select Open HTTP(S) proxy. Select your proxy from the list you just added which is 127.0.0.1 and port 8118

All traffic coming from Blog Pinger will go through Proxy Firewall, which will then route it through TOR.

If those instructions weren't clear enough, please let me know. I'll organize better intructions and post it.

Have anybody ever pinged a website before with success? Rather than a blog...

Yes. Most of the urls I ping are pages from my sites. Takes longer to get all them pinged and I usually get behind on getting them done because there are many more of them than blog addresses. Usually 20,000 - 50,000 urls each day for webpages. I only ping the webpage urls once, while I continue to ping the blogs everytime I post links to those same wepages to the blogs.
