I'm looking to place a large bulk order, and need top-quality (the equivalent of four-star at textbroker) US content. I'd love to find somewhere cheaper than textbroker, but am skittish about the iWriters of the world. Anyone have any real luck finding very high quality US content at less than $2.20/100 words?

Why don't you consider hiring BST sellers? Some of them offer exceptionally high quality content. My vote would go for Nataxa Nixon.

Because my experience (rather substantial) with BST sellers has been 100% poor, when looking for top-quality content. I've never gotten an article that I could publish without substantial rewriting and editing. Ever. For filler content, BST sellers can be fine. For top-quality.......not a chance.

If you're ready to pay good, then I am sure you'd be able to find some exceptional writers. Don't mean to disrespect you, but in recent times, I have seen a common trend among buyers to pay less and expect high quality. Since, the writer isn't well paid, so often he/she tried to compromise with the quality. No one benefits out of it. There're couple of guys who are native English speakers and offer impeccable quality content, but the sad part is that they are always busy with their existing orders.

I would PM you, but I just signed up and they don't allow it. I'm a native speaker with over 1,000 lengthy articles (1,000 wds and up) published. I also have content on several professional retail sites across various industries. I'd be able to write for under that posted rate with a rather quick turnaround time.

Textbroker looks interesting to me as a writer. Will add it to the other sites I've been signing up for.

Hi ... as others mention, above-average writers can be found on e-lance, guru and o-desk. If you indicate, up front, that all you can pay is 2.2 cents per word you will get responses from good to great writers in all genre. Patience to wade through the bs responses is what it takes. I have found golden writers on these sites. You can too. Good luck. dgp

Textbroker has reputation for offering high quality. I sincerely request you to avoid iWriter. You can try out Guru.com, but in certain cases it can turn out to be a harrowing experience in order to find an experienced writer.

I recently wrote an artilce, which talks about how to hire a writer online. In summary, it talks about sites like Elance, Odesk. About sites like Textbroker and The Content Authority. And about sites like the Black Hat Forums, where you can hire writers directly. BHW rules don't allow me to post a link to it, but you can easily find it online by googling for a phrase in the text shown below, which is an excerpt from it. This excerpt talks about finding good writers using a "hack":

    > You can easily contact a textbroker writer online, and ask them to write for you. Just search for any mention of textbroker online in the last one week or one month, and if there is a writer talking about his or her textbroker account on their blog, you can contact him or her directly. This is not against the terms of service of Textbroker because you never met that writer on that site. This idea is quite unconventional, but allows you to get in contact with good writers directly, and easily.

Last of all, I would like to say that you can also hire me as a writer.
