Most of my budget goes into content and backlinks and I'm wondering if you think there is any low cost advertising that is worth spending the money on or do you think it's worth spending it mostly on SEO?

Also I do some Facebook ads when I put up a new post but I've never had a Facebook ad convert to a sale to my knowledge on my website.

    Thanks

Facebook requires knowing your audience and targeting it as precise as possible. Like Adwords, it became really complex over the years. The problem with all the low cost PPC/PPV stuff is that it's cheap for a reason: The quality of this traffic often utterly sucks, badly filtered, loads of bots. It's pretty much "What you pay is what you get.".

Facebook is low cost. Just because you didn't get it to convert, doesn't mean it doesn't work. It means you have some work to do.

You really need to work on it every day to get FB to convert. You can also advertise just for Likes on your FB page that could help your ranking.

I feel the same about facebook ads. I've been at it for 1-2 months now and I'm still getting very high bounce rates...

I'd go invest it more on SEO. It's worth it in the long run than fb ads.
