Does anybody here use Long Tail Pro regularly? What do YOU define as a mid-competition keyword? For the longest time I've avoided any keyword with a competitiveness rating of 30 or higher. I consider them impossible to rank.

Have you ever ranked a keyword of 30 to 40? How hard was it?

For my ecommerce niche there are so many high search volume great keywords in the 30 to 35 range but I'm not sure they're possible to rank.

It is possible to rank, but it also depends who are your competitors, also it would be easier to rank if you have content, not sure about ecommerce

Yes that's a good point. I was thinking of doing something like the YouTube video descriptions with a "Read More" drop down box full of tonnes of content... So search engines pick up on tonnes of content whilst visitors aren't really gonna see it, meaning the products are still the page's main focus.

My niche products are pretty expensive but the terms I can rank (under 30 KC) are only getting around 300 to 500 local monthly searches. Very few are getting over 1000. Most of the 1000+ keywords are around the range of 30 to 35 KC.
