I own a succesful movie site (+1-2k$/m), and i was just wondering are these sites more at risk now? I live in europe, domain is hosted anonymously at internet.bs, and i use a host that dont listen to much to complaints, the site is the same as all those others, only linking to filehosts (I know their going down, but my visitors dont know that hehe), i gotta a proper DMCA form on the site, telling that i will remove any links and such at request and so on. How much should i worry? and what can they actually do to me, other than just closing my site? And should i maybe get rid of it and sell it, and where do i sell such a site? Thanks for any info Jesper
You'd have to look at the extradition treaties the country you live in has with US. But then, there's bigger fish to fry and personally I wouldn't worry.
at some point your probably going to get a warning - and if you don't take action then you will be in some legal trouble. you had better see what treaties your country has with the US - if you have USA traffic. so short term you probably fly under the radar but you should start diversifying now before it catches up with you. also you are not anonymous - they will find out who you are from your affiliate company. cheers
