Any good samaritan pls help to unstuck my ebay a/c. Just 2-3 minutes.

    Hi guys,

    I just signed-up for an ebay a/c using my shipper's USA address..as I want to have stuff send there. Then I remembered they have a phone verification part. Yikes!! Now I'm stuck!! My shipper ONLY ship stuff, he said clearly..no other additional service. Against his policy.
    I wanted to close my account and re-register but they have another stupid policy that will put close a/c on hold for a week or so and further retaining your info, blah, blah, blah. Can't use the a/c nor delete it :( Can't edit nor add new address / phone either.
    Basically,.yeah, folks..I'm really stuck now.:banghead:
    So now I need someone to help me to verify the phone. May I borrow your phone number (to enter in the phone field) and have it verified through text or whatever and u PM / email me back the PIN when u received it. I can pay back the $2- to cover your bill if you want.

    PS. My US shipper is in Tampa, Florida. Do i need to use back phone from that area or anywhere as long as it's in the US?

    I am really confused. You make a statement "against his policy" and such... do you mean your supplier? Changing info on e b ay is very simple... your other statements ... well it sounds like you have a supplier issue and not an ebay issue. :) PHONE: I like to use the same area code from the area but you don't need to. Pre paid phones and GV will work. But if you are out of US then you need a few more tricks to get the GV up and running.

    I'm not in the US. I register my eBay using my shipper's US address to have the stuff ship there (for those seller who don't ship out of US). But the US ebay needs phone verification. I have no US phone...I just simply put the altered phone number of my shipper. So now I need someone to help provide me wth a US phone to get verified (where eBay send the PIN verification), then receive the PIN for me and notify me so i can enter the PIN code. And voila! I'm verified.

    Yes, my shipper only help me to receive stuff and forward to me. No other extra services, like verification, etc...it's against his "policy".

    Well it sounds to me like you honestly don't have a good partnership with this person if they don't want to help you out! The secret in success in any business is to make sure you have people that care, and are willing to work hard for it TOGETHER. That is part of being a team. But before I help you with the phone issue, i have to ask you about this address.. Are you saying that you put the "SAME" address as you "supplier/item shipper" .. because if that is the case, and that person has a eBay account then the accounts are now LINKED. This is not a good thing, and can create problems for the accounts (causes limits, and suspensions). Please let me know this information so that I can further assist you! :)

    Thanks so much for chipping in. My shipper closed his eBay a/c long ago. I've checked several mths ago and it said this member is no longer a registered member....i guessed it's mainly my shipper is pretty well established already who have his own site/ customer base, so it's not like he needs to rely ebay much. I won't blame my shipper, he's overall a pretty great guy..just not too flexible, though.
