    Hey there,

Does anyone know of any absolutely free tool or website to design professional looking flash/animated banners? I want to design a few for my websites. I know of bannersnack.com, flashvortex.com etc. but they put their stamp on the banner. Is there any tool or website that lets you design banners absolutely free without putting their watermark on it? Not something too complex, something that is for amateurs/beginners. I don't know shit about banner designing or any kind of designing.

Would be a great help if anyone could tell me.

    Thanks!

Listen. There is no tool that can make good design. Just search for cool templates and edit them with your taste and top regular software like Photoshop / Flash ...

Let me know if you need help

Why not just use Photoshop? Basically create a shape then write your own text with any font you want, import any images, render them, edit them, size them however you want, etc. Just basic stuff. No need to be a Photoshop pro to make a good banner

I suggest you do it in Photoshop, with a help of some nice tutorial or something.
Free tools have that "signature" - it almost screams it's done for free :D

Photoshop and illustrator is the best for banner design,
alternatively you can use gimp, and coreldraw .
But illustrator and Photoshop are the first choice of many professionals.
    Illustrator also provide banner template.

Nothing comes closer to photoshop. Its pretty much the industry standard and the range of things you can do with it is just amazing!

Another vote for Photoshop. I've been using it since 1997 and would never use something different.

If it is too expensive for you to buy outright, you can get all of the Abode CS6 products for just $29 - $59 per month with an Adobe Creative Cloud membership.
Then you would have photoshop, illustrator, fireworks, dreamweaver, etc etc for a low monthly cost.

Yes obviously any real graphic designer is going to use photoshop/fireworks etc. I think the poster is looking for user-friendly ways to customize great looking banners. I really like BannerSnack BUT after you go through the whole process of creating a beautiful banner that changes and looks like flash... THEN you find out the only way you can use your banner without a big ugly watermark is to pay $14 a month to use their service. Which doesn't sound too bad since the graphics really are top notch, and you already feel invested since you just wasted all that time excitedly making a super cool banner. BUT when you go to pay your $14 you then find out the cheapest option they have available is to pay $72 now for 3 months. I haven't paid the $72 myself but I do still think about it and maybe I will break down and do it one of these days. Long story short, I don't think there is a truly free way to get banners made without doing it yourself.

If you don't want to shell out the bucks for photoshop and illustrator, i'd recomend gimp and inkscape. I use both of them for any Graphics work that comes along, and I'm pretty satisfied with the results. Doesn't mean that I won't upgrade to the Adobe dope someday when I have to money to do so. One thing I realized, not only in my Graphic Design work is that you actually feel it when your tool is of higher quality, and boy does it feel good.

I would suggest you to get photoshop and some templates since photoshop is the best tool available in the market which can pretty much everything when it comes to any type of image editing or creation. You can check the BHW's Graphic Design download section where you can get some amazing templates for free which can be used in photoshop and can be edited in any way you like.
Here's the link to the graphic design download section:

    Hi.

Honestly, free software cannot make a very good quality banner designs or any graphic works.
I can suggest you just get some banners from the web and edit it as nice as you can.
    Good luck!
