Just wondering if there were any free tools or websites that allowed you to research KW competition. If there are no "free" ones, that what paid programs do you recommend?

Keyword Revealer used to be free for unlimited searches, but now they have a paid option and you can only do three free searches per day. Good place to start though.

KWfinder allows 5 free searches a day. Don't know how good it is.

For a paid option I use Long Tail Pro, but its only really worth it if you go for the platinum version which has a monthly subscription charge.

Keyword revealer and Kwfinder are both good. They mostly agree to my manual check.

I think traffic travis is too lenient... most of the time it will say a keyword is "easy" but when you check manually its not.

https://kwfinder.com - I found it pretty easy to use and showing very accurate results as well.

Market samurai is best, go with it and you can find pirated version online.

If you have good budget, buy Long tail keyword pro. It is good too

    Thanks

Try term explorer or serpIQ as well. There are a ton of paid ones, I would grab the trials and test them out.
