Any fix to the "Facebook pages Merge failed: Too many attempts"?

I have two very similar Facebook pages, one with 8900 likes and one with 8200 likes. I post literally the same content on both the page and now instead of growing them separately, I want to merge them.

However, I have been getting the Merge failed: Too many attempts while I try to join the pages.

Is there anyway I can merge the pages? Searched a bit on Google and found some threads that say contact support and get them to manually merge them but I haven't been able to find anywhere to contact support.
