Hey guys,
I recently launched my new Video Game oriented site. I've launched two in the past...one is getting close to 5 million uniques per month, which I've sold to a company based in EU, the other which was a site oriented towards a specific game which I actually sold to the developers. Anyway, I've finally launched a new one and the only thing it's missing is writers!
The site itself is primarily focused on Guides, Cheats, etc. (Think GameFAQS, if you're familiar with it), but also has the latest news, reviews, previews, downloads, etc.
This bring me to the matter at hand; I need a few writers. This includes writers to post guides, cheats, news, reviews, and previews. Essentially the writers I need will have access to do any and all of those.
I also need a couple "staffing" oriented people. This includes people to look for more writers, manage our social networking platforms (Twitter, Facebook, etc.) as well as handle PR and marketing once we get that far.
Unfortunately at the moment because the site is new I can't *pay* you for any of these openings, BUT I do have some cool perks I can provide. First and foremost it's an accredited site and I have a history in this industry, so I have many contacts (several with EVERY publisher and developer out there). This means I cannot only get free review copies of games, but I can also sometimes get preview copies (so you'd get to play the game before it comes out.) I also get several invitations to every conference out there (E3, GDC, Gamescom, Blizzcon, you name it.) You're also of course credited for ALL of you work as a writer on our site, which can open some pretty big doors in this industry. Once the site gets rolling and bringing in some income I can also offer you certain rates for your writing.
All in all this is a great opportunity for someone who has a passion for video games and is looking to get their foot in the video games or journalism industry while speaking your mind and getting some cool perks along the way.
If this interests you at all please PM me, e-mail me directly at [email protected] or AIM me at StevenWMills.
Thanks!
Steven
