I am looking to get in to ecom I see so many people on the internet speaking about it. I would rather just spend money on setting up the store first before I buy any course or discord for 100s of dollars. Can you give any advice? I am thinking that I may find it best to sell consumable or products that need to be replenished. Food, supps, skin care, dental hygiene, etc. Any ideas? Should i aim for social media shops or just regular sites? Are Google ads any good and how much would I need for budget?

depending on the product and platform your cost per client can range between $20 to $50
personally I wouldn't start advertising with less than $500 budget

Go to Auction websites. JUST SOLD section....a Free University of learning....how they did it, traffic, stock, what they would do to scale and you get to see exactly the money potential you may have.

Your approach makes sense. Before choosing a product, I’d validate demand, competition, margins, and repeat-purchase potential. I’d also build a standalone store first and then test Google or Meta ads with a controlled budget. Start small, collect real data, and scale only what works.

I've been told that with ecom you need a bankroll for ads? Should I pay UGC 1m followers, 200$ each, and all within a target demographic? I feel as if UGC or just organic social exposure may be better than paid google/meta ads.
