Are there any BHW fellow members that enjoy snowboarding?

We could make this thread into a tips and tricks, locations and resorts useful info etc. etc.

Skiers are welcome too but please try to leave your arrogance out :) j/k.

I know it's just august but..

Hi mate! Glad to see a snowboarder here. :D

I go regularly, during the winter of course, to Sierra Nevada, Andorra, Serra da Estrela. This year is already scheduled a trip to the Alps.

    Snowboard rules!

    Cheers!

I'm a snowboarder since the age of 9. I live in Colorado next to some of the best skiing in the world. But pass prices are over $1200 now that I'm an adult so I won't be snowboarding anytime soon :(

Dafuq is right. I get to ski where the winter x-games has been held for the last 9 years, but still, $1200 is ridonculous. But that's not a bad idea man, I'll be thinking of that when winter comes! Thanks for the suggestion :)

I'm just curious, what do you get for 1200$? Just the cable ride?

Cable ride to four different mountains which are all located within 5 miles of each other. What do you usually pay for a pass? And where would that be from?

I'm from Portugal mate! I go to Val Gardena, northern Italy, has excellent tracks, intermediate and advanced. The nights are awesome, lots of girls and free booze

I tried snowboarding but the freedom I feel with skies is too epic. Maybe I should give it another try.

I know a lot of skiers turned snowboarders but I don't know any snowboarder that turned a skier.

    My advice:

    1) Get an instructor
    2) Get an instructor
    3) Learn the basics and learn them properly.

Once you'll link your turns for the first time you'll be hooked for life. Trust me on this.

I used to ski too, since I was 9-10 years old, got a board on my feet about 5 years ago and never gone back.

In Romania, where I'm from a one-day ski pass is usually 30$. I spend about 4-500$/ year on ski passes.
