I got pretty fuckin sick of London. And since I make my money online, and I have no wife or kids, I booked a ticket, packed my shit, and two days later I was in Madrid! That was a few weeks ago. I had never been before - but I love it here - best decision I've ever made. Spain's going through an economically tough time, but if you're earning in dollars like I do, maaaan you're laughing. Rent in central Madrid is cheaper than zone 5 London. Also, I'll be honest, my three main expenditures are food, boozing and weed. Now I'm spending 1/3 of what I was spending in the UK. And I can go out at 11pm and still have 4 hours of casual night life (I'm not talking clubs, just bog standard average bars). Transport is cheap, taxis are dirt cheap, and a million other things - it's just a different way of life here. Even if you're earning just $50 a day, that's like 1200 euro a month. You'll find a room right in the center for 400, and 800 is enough to get by on. Compare that to living within the M25, even in a shithole like say, Feltham, your monthly budget would run out after a week. So, any members here living in Madrid?
