I have a website with a bunch of scraped content (and images) and I'm going to pin them to pinterest. However, I'm wondering if maybe I should pin using the original image URL and then just update the link to go to my sites version?

Do you guys know if there is anything bad with that? I know there are benefits such as not using up my own bandwidth, etc. What do you guys think?

i don't fully understand what you mean, but what i can say is don't use any re-directs or pinterest might block them.
always have the pins link directly to your site, and make sure the content is actually there.
what do you mean not use up bandwidth?
of course you are going to use bandwidth when getting traffic to your site.

I mean like, my link URL is mysite.com, but the image URL is someothersite.com. Bandwidth for the image would be used by someothersite.com, not my site :p But I'm just wondering if there is anything bad about doing that. The link URL has no redirects and it will have relevant information (and images--yes I know my bandwidth will be used then :p )
