Any advice on building a brand around my 400k+ IG audience?

I've been wrestling with an IG account that happens to be in the motivational/entrepreneurial/money making niche that has an audience of over 400k.

I find that my engagement and impressions keep going down as time goes on. At the same time I see people flipping Authority websites for good money on sites like Empire Flippers that continue to grow.

I want to diversify my traffic and build a brand that isn't at the mercy of IG/FB's algorithm. Not that I won't be at the mercy of Google's algo, but you hopefully get my point.

The problem is this niche has some heavy hitters that I probably can't compete with in ranking.

Do you guys think I should even try to rank for things related to this niche of online money making?

Should I move a bit out of the motivational/entrepreneurial subject to another niche like personal finance or online jobs?

I'd love to get your thoughts or suggestions.

Cheers!

Great work on the IG account!

My best piece of advice to you would be to try to come up with a product of your own (not necessarily a course like everyone else, but something unique). Other than that, just start your own website and add long-form content to it and you should be seeing some long-tail traffic in the long-run.

Thanks. Yeah I'm also tired of all the courses and frankly I don't think I can create one that's better than whats out there.

My concern with targeting the low competition, long tail keywords in my niche means they are likely to be less than 1k hits per month, so I won't get tons of traffic. Think its worth it anyways?
