Need a bit of advice on this, i feel like i have been had big time sort of speak.

I own a small blogspot blog that is doing really well promoting some pharmacy products doing 4-5 sales per day some times and atleast 1 sale per day. I was ranking at number one for all variations of google wether it uk or usa. The majority of my traffic comes from the usa and very minimal local search count for me which is UK (26 searches per month for uk and over 5600 global searches the majority again being from the usa)

Now all of sudden the company whos products i am promoting have outranked me with the product that i am pushing from my blog, kinda funny isnt it especially as it is a very very profitable keyword and who ever searches for this keyword they are 100% deffinately going to buy the product.

Would i be best off to now register a domain and develop a site around this keyword or am i going to have to do all the hardwork again to get a decent ranking? How can i outrank the company i am promoting products for?

Any advice on what i can do to get the number one spot back? I am currently sitting at 8th :(

    Thanks

Add more shopping data to your blog spot and check the metrics on your competitors. If it looks like it's worth it, then sure, invest in a real site. Otherwise, you can still grow your blogspot to out rank them again, you just need to increase the new Mayday quality signals on your site to match the shopping terms you were ranking on before.

price, product image, product attributes, add to cart / buy now buttons.. signals that would indicate you are a source for 'buying' the product.

Google has categorized the entire internet now, and you need to adjust your site to fit into the category you want with your keyword. Google now recognizes a lot of product keywords and will show only shopping sites that match rather than 500 word article pages for example. So fill your page with more product data and more options to buy than your competitor and you will do better. Pages like yours that are just 'information' are pushed to the bottom now on the off chance that the searcher might be seeking information rather than to buy.

Ahh right thanks, thats new to me. I do i have order buttons and stuff but there is not any mention of price etc. I think i will add the price to the end of each post next to my affiliate links.

    Thanks
