So many reasons to hate Google yet never enough time. Here's an article I ran into earlier today, the original source link will follow along with another link where you can read all about how Google is in bed with the CIA and the NSA...

    Antitrust lawsuit filed against Google

A complaint has been filed in federal court charging Google with violating antitrust laws by ?eliminating competition and choice.? The suit has been filed by a New York company called TradeComet.com.

The company is alleging that Google identified SourceTool.com, which is a business to business search engine and subsidiary of TradeComet.com, as a competitor site and took ?predatory? steps to drive the company out of business.

SourceTool.com claims that it bought keywords and phrases for 5 cents to 10 cents under Google?s AdWords program to attract visits, and profited when revenue generated by user clicks on the site exceeded what it paid for keywords. After SourceTool?s daily visits hit 600,000, Google raised keyword prices (Which anyone who generates ad revenue from Google adsense can tell you is VERY odd as the CPC has been dropping like a rock not rising).

?As a result of the inability to obtain keywords and thus search advertising from AdWords, SourceTool was unable to secure traffic to its Web site,? the company said in the complaint filed today in federal court in Manhattan. ?From March 2006 to December 2006 it lost approximately 90 percent of its monthly traffic from Google and millions of dollars in revenue.?

Google said the higher keyword prices were driven by SourceTool?s poor page quality as determined by Google algorithms, according to the antitrust complaint. The lawsuit seeks triple damages for SourceTool?s lost revenue.

Google has come under crtitisim before for censoring website content, removing entire websites from its index (thus destroying thw websites traffic), and blocking sites from running adwords if google deems the website to be ?Innappropriate.? Seems like to much power for one company to have. If you own an internet based business, Google can turn your lights out anytime it wants. I?m interested in seeing how this unfolds.

As Black Hatters, shouldn't we be able to do something to get the word out to people who don't know what Big G is really up to?

Think about this: Google has become what it is because it spread like a virus when people stopped saying "Do a search" and started saying "Google It". Google is a brand name, not a verb and should not be used as a substitute action word. Eliminate that phrase and educate everyone you know or we'll all be living in under government controlled search engine tyranny.

It's probably too late though because the other day The New York Times wrote an article stating that "The Internet Is Dead"...and now it's time to bring in Internet 2: The safer, cleaner, porn free, government and mainstream media controlled internet. There will only be a few hundred sites and they won't be owned by anyone here...unless you own Myspace, Facebook, Google, Fox Media, or whatever else is dictated safe for public consumption...

Maybe I'm just making this all up...don't do a search or anything ;-)
