It's rare when I see something like this from one icon to another. One of my favorite actors took upon himself to write Bryan Cranston a fan letter (email) about his performance as Walter White.

Here is a small excerpt from the email. You can read the rest here: http://www.deathandtaxesmag.com/207649/read-anthony-hopkinss-gushing-breaking-bad-fan-letter-to-bryan-cranston/

"From what started as a black comedy, descended into a labyrinth of blood, destruction and hell. It was like a great Jacobean, Shakespearian or Greek Tragedy.
If you ever get a chance to - would you pass on my admiration to everyone - Anna Gunn, Dean Norris, Aaron Paul, Betsy Brandt, R.J. Mitte, Bob Odenkirk, Jonathan Banks, Steven Michael Quezada - everyone - everyone gave master classes of performance ... The list is endless.

Thank you. That kind of work/artistry is rare, and when, once in a while, it occurs, as in this epic work, it restores confidence."

    Hail to the king

More from Hopkins on Bryan Cranston - quote -

But this work of yours is spectacular - absolutely stunning. What is extraordinary, is the sheer power of everyone in the entire production. What was it? Five or six years in the making? How the producers (yourself being one of them), the writers, directors, cinematographers.... every department - casting etc. managed to keep the discipline and control from beginning to the end is (that over used word) awesome.

Some review thanks OP - folks read it...

His entire email made me ecstatic. It just had me envisioning them doing a movie together in the near future. Say they're both drug dealers. One is an undercover cop. You don't know which one and it can also be a third party that is an undercover. I just typed that out directly. I'd love to see a move with them being co-stars.

Game Of Thrones was an excellent show. George RR Martin's story brought to life was amazing. Oz was a great show too. The Wire has to be one of my all time favorites though. McNulty, Carter, Herc, Bubbles, Marlo Stanfield, and of course Omar.
