I'm experiencing some problems on SERP rankings. After Penguin my rankings increased by 1 to 2 spots in search. After penguin is implemented I change all my anchor text to make my backlinks look natural. Anchor texts includes 4 to 7 word keywords and these keywords are 2 to 5 times used. I also do branding on my guest posts. All of my guestposts are from myblogguest forum and not on private networks. These guest posts are all relevant. In my author bio, I include the keyword but the anchor text is my brand name. I also change my author bio per post. Yesterday I experience a huge drop on SERP's my target keywords dropped drastically from page 1 to page 4. What's wrong with my linking? I thought that Google loves unique and quality content. I'm confident that blog owners won't post a guest content on their blog if it's a spun and low quality. Is this a new algo update or a dance?

It's probably just a dance. I'm experiencing a dance as well. However, it sounds like you're only guest posting. Diversify your link types.

I forgot to mention that I'm new with guest posting. Almost 40% of my links are from forum profile links. I'm doing this manually like 30 to 40 links per day twice a week. While other link types are from bookmarking, commenting, article directories, and web directories. Right now I use a name anchor text on blogs that have disqus.com and all my comments are relevant to my site and blog's content. I'm stop linking my money site to bookmarking, article and web directories.

There is another thread on this exact topic, lots of people experiencing drops this week - it was the latest Penguin refresh (or some say its something else entirely). I dont think its a dance to be honest.

Probably just a dance, otherwise matt cutts would have said something :p

Did't noticed any update today , so most probably its a google dance

The last Penguin refresh I lost all my rankings but they are all back today I thinks its another refresh :)

Just experienced a random 30% increase in exposure on a previously penalized domain .... No SEO has been done in a couple of months so rather puzzling.

It might be a dance only. However updates will keep on coming.

One of my sites has been hit bad yesterday even though it wasn't really affected when penguin first came out. Its not a dance.

See, you have changed the way you were targeting keywords... Its very obvious that they will fall after changing the linking structure. Give Google some time to recognize that you have changed it for better. Keep adding quality content and maintain the quality of your backlinks. Things will bounce back to normal soon.
