I know this has been done before but the rules change every year and I've never found a satisfactory answer.

I want to send someone money online, fairly regularly, PayPal is ideal but I don't want them knowing my name or my address. I don't want the recipient to know. However, I don't mind if PayPal know or the tax man or the authorities, I'm not doing anything illegal it is all above board. I just need to be anonymous as far as the recipient is concerned.

Is there any way to do this?

    Thanks for your help!

W130sn is on the money - bitcoin is the way forward for what you want to do...

And indeed the reasons you set out are partly the reasons behind the massive popularity of bitcoin - it's free, fast, and awesome.

And if your recipient is not technologically proficient, there are services like Coinbase that will let them receive Bitcoin, convert it to cash instantly, and have it in their bank account as fast as a regular PayPal bank transfer.

Thanks for the advice. Is there any service or website that will explain simplify this process for me? I find Bitcoin a little hard to understand.

Basically, can I buy Bitcoins with Paypal, send the Bitcoins to the recipent and they cash them out to their Paypal?

You can upgrade to Paypal business account, add fake business name and address and phone number, when you send money recipient will see only your business name. I do this way and it does protect my real identity and I haven't had any problems.
