Has this happened to anyone? I sold some vero'ed items on ebay and a customer found out. He filed a dispute but ended up losing because he never shipped my product back.

This be because (being the piece of shiet that I am) I had claimed I would give him a refund hoping it would distract him from returning the item which I knew would be the deciding factor in the paypal dispute.

I kept the 150, he keeps my item. Of course hes not happy and said he would get his friend to pay me a visit at my home address.

Has anyone gotten threats like this?

    edit:

I issued a large partial refund and asked him to send me back my items for the remaining amount, the amount was enough so that if he doesn't send it back, my net gain and loss will be at zero.

You guys are right though, customer should always be my priority.

Never under estimate what someone is willing to do just because you wouldn't. If he has your home address then I wouldn't be so smug.

Now you can report him for making threats and get his account banned.

So basically, you ripped off the customer and now you are worried about his retribution?

    Here are your options:

(a). Refund his money, and hope that he sends your item back, and the drama is over.
    (b. If his threat is real, sleep with one eye open and keep your hands gripped to a SR-16, AA-12, Glock 19 4th Gen and/or a Grenade Launcher. You also need to wear body armor at all times as well as watch you back at all times. When he sneaks upon you, let that Street Sweep rip; it won't jam when you pull the trigger.
(c). If his threat is fake, you have nothing to worry about.

    Hope that helps.

How are we suppose to give you advice as to what he is going to do? :/ He might rape you without lube or take you out
to lunch first. Hard to say really...all types on eBay...

Contact eBay regarding the threat and watch out. People have done crazy things over smaller amounts than $150. I read a news article (years ago) about some man in Detroit who was shot on his front porch by his stepfather over a loaf of damn bread. Hopefully your customer is just ranting but never underestimate what someone will do when they feel cheated especially if you've given them your home address.

When I went to Chicago on a project, my friends told me to always keep some quarters handy (that was in 1994) so if someone staring at your nice suit spreads his hand in front of you, you can give him one... and they said don't ever turn him away empty handed or walk past ignoring his hand.

Why? some one got a bullet in the chest because he had no change on him.

Yeh... some bruised egos can go to any extent. :) Beware....

If anything W130SN should be investigating the OP for being an admitted scammer.

The fact that you aren't taking this seriously (you have the rofl smilie in your original post) tells me that I probably shouldn't feel bad if something does happen to you. Nevertheless, I love human life and I don't want to see yours ended over something stupid like this. So report his account to eBay and have him banned. Then report him to the police. Change the locks on your doors (for a sense of false security), and then sit on your couch and wonder how much a good night's sleep is worth. If you seriously think that possibly losing your life over $150 is worth it, then who am I to judge?

I really hope you learned something from this OP. Even if he doesn't do anything, just all of the trouble you're going through should tell you not to repeat your actions.

Then again, this isn't your first rodeo is it?

Does it make sense to take someone at their word when they openly admit to lying to people to make a quick buck? Furthermore, at most we have an unsubstantiated threat vs. an admission of guilt. Which deserves more investigation?
