    Quick one; when manually doing forum backlinks, how do you get anchor text in there? There is really no place for it or do you just leave it off and just leave the link? Note I just put my link in my profile - I don't do any forum postings.
    thx.

    Care to elaborate? You can create anchor backlinks in signature and about me page(IPB), but seriously, try to rephrase your question stating what exactly are you trying to do...

    Most commonly it's done within the signature with either BBcode or HTML based on which the site supports. Here are the examples of the code.

    Code:
    <a href="www.yoursite.com">Anchor Text Here</a>
    Code:
    [uXrl=www.yoursitehere.com]Anchor Text Here[/urXl]
    Remove the X's in the second one, the forum still shows BBcode through the code tag. :(

    DailyEarner, that was a v useless post.. (No offence)

    To have a link placed with your anchor text, you will need to put it in the following form:

    <a href="url">Link text</a>

    replace URL with your website URL and Link Text with the keyword you want to promote....

    EDIT: TermsB, you beat me into this. lol

    I think he is asking to put the anchor text on the foruns profiles in the field Website. I think that 's not possible (only the link is possible). If possible, I want to know how to do it too.
