    Hey guys,
I am wondering if there is a tool out there that checks the anchor text of a backlink.? Say if you get an outsourcer to build you some backlinks and you want to check if they have an anchor text in the backlink.

    Thanks guys.

    Home Page:
http://www.backlinkwatch.com, while a bit annoying with its "out of quota" messages, will pretty quickly give you a big list of all the anchor text for a competitor's backlinks. When it's working, that is....

Gooser898, sorry for the off topic, Don't waste your time with Market Health. I lost $600 with them. Their conversions are poor or may be they are shaving. Their site conversion stats is not right.

if you put your site in market samurai (seo competition module) you can then get the anchor text from all of your sites links (I think there is a limit of 1000) and also the pagerank of each link. If you have more than a 1000 links I am not sure how you would do it in MS or if it is possible.

Just code up a quick piece of PHP and do it yourself.

PS the reason that MS & Backlinkwatch.com only show the first 1000 is because that is the max number that Yahoo Site Index will show you.

If you have Market Samurai, use that.

To use it in Market Samurai, go to SEO Competition. At the bottom, click "Add custom URLs." Add the URL you want to analyze.

It will build a SEO Competition row above the top 10 SEO Grid (great for comparing a site to the top 10 to see how far you are out, by the way).

Now, there is an arrow pointing downward (disclosure triangle). Click that. There will be more info pop into the window, including a button for "Anchor Text Analysis". Click that and you'll have a good analysis of the anchor. You can also get the PR distribution of the backlinks this way.

    Good luck!

Obviously caveats apply. You don't know how much juice each can supply. But, it's great for getting a feel for what they're targeting.

I don't know anything about coding so that sucks. But still a brilliant idea though.

thanks for the info. I will try that and see how it goes. Thanks

Market Samurai is one of the most helpful tools. You can also use IBP Pro I think
