What percentage of my backlinks profile should have raw url as anchot text. Currently I use 12.5% and i guess (from researching other sites) it could be too low.

Does it matter if URL contains my main keyword, or in this case I should have lower percentage of raw urls.

    URL format for domain name:mainkeyword-word.com
    URL format for posts:domain name.com/keyword2.php

Here is what i do so far:
    raw url: 12.5%
    exact+phrase:12.5%
    LSI(no keyword):25%
    Generic(click here):50%

What I am planning to change:
    increase raw url to 25%
    lower generic to 37.5%.

    Moonlighsunligh,

It would seem that the key to a diverse link profile is balance but that being said, it should be balance in your niche and not balance overall. The backlink profiles for websites in different niches are going to look far different than each other. It has been said that Google uses machine learning to paint a picture of how link building happens from niche to niche so finding information related to your specific area of expertise will help you greatly. Also, remember to avoid spikes in data as that shouts out that you are manipulating search.

This post on searchenginewatch has some pretty interesting data on the topic,

    Hope that helps,

Well in my niche generic anchors are well over 50%, which seems pretty high to me. i will aim for a bit higher value than the value I use now - 12.5%.

Another thing I noticed is that there isn't as much "click here" type anchors, but most people here they use such anchors with great sucess.
