An UN-Announced Flippa Price Increase

I have sold hundreds of sites in flippa usually around $150-$250,They do shave a lot from it,But the recent price increase is a bit more burden on the sellers.Flippa's first aim is to make as much money possible and not customer convenience.I bet,I or my friends would never list a site their again,I have a pretty decent buyers list to whom I can market my sites rather than giving $50 to an idle shit f$$k flippa fools.

kvmcable, I'd love to take a gander at the data you've collected. Do you publish any reports or anything? I'm an absolute sucker for this level of detail!

I would avoid sellers who do not accept escrow and do not have analytics info verified. You can always request a screen share with sellers to review due diligence but if the numbers look shady, don't even bother.

Exposure is not sufficient on its own. It's got to be the right kind of exposure - the type that sells your site. It's also got to be exposure that gets you a price to more than cover your cost.

Have a look at this search - all the Flippa sellers who have more than 10 failed listings. There are hundreds if not thousands of them.

Flippa isn't what it used to be... I used to sell a lot of websites there, and got a lot of exposure, but with new pricing and fees it's simply not what it used to be... I still can recall sitepoint marketplace and $9 listing fees. :)

In the end it's their site..they get to decide what they can or can't do. Sad but true..the reason why they deleted the comment on facebook is because they don't want old customers to run away and new users won't find it till they check out at which point they'll probably pay?

some sites are being sold for $2999? wut? and it's just a sitename..no traffic..nothing

Those are mostly faked auctions, so disregard that... I've seen where people start with fresh profile, fake few auctions and just then selling starts as people think that it's popular, and actually it's all fake.

I get more views to my auctions on DP (LOL) now then on Flippa for like $100 worth of listing (including home page, bold, success fee, row to be colored) + I think that now days even flippa fakes their stats (visitor count)... As I've had one trick to get most views for my auctions and now I can't even come close to that number whatever I do and no matter what attention to make...

Also, earlier, with like 100 views on my auction I get like 10 comments, 10 private messages, now on 100 "views" I get like 0 comments and like 1 private message...
