    Dear Google,

I want to start off by thanking you for bringing much happiness into my life by providing me with a marketing platform to earn a living. I would like to immediately follow that up by saying ?fuck you? for continuing to enforce some of the more draconian aspects of your algorithm.

I am specifically talking about the penalties for bad SEO, more specifically im talking about the fact that you still make it possible for somebody to engage in negative SEO on any site they choose.

You continually chat shit about making the web spam free with update after update to stop people who are engaged in this whole churn and burn mentality.

But you fail to recognize that YOU, yes you Google are the biggest contributing factor to the churn and burn mentality that exists today.

This is because you make it so easy for ANYONE to fire up xrumer or scrapebox and make 200,000 links a day with anchor texts like ?download kiddie porn? or ?cheap Viagra pills? and boomf, in an instant, a site is bowled into the depths.

Ah, that?s no big deal, I will just make another site. Except this time, I will make 2. So when some asshole beg SEO's me, I will have a backup.

Oh wait, there's that churn and burn mentality kicking in.

Shiiiiiit, I just had an awesome idea. Instead of paying $10,000 on SEO this time, I will only spend $1000 and then buy a VPS, some private proxies and a copy of scrapebox for $100 and then I will just neg SEO the current top 50 sites. Fuck yeah, that will be well easy. </sarcasm>

Anyway Google. Sort your fucking act out please. Give your poster boy Cutts a kick up the arse and get this issue sorted out. Then maybe you can restore my faith in humanity. Until then I will remain hostile, but suspend disbelieve temporarily.

No offense bro, but I'd like to see you create a better search engine. You are complaining because when you (and all of us) try to manipulate the search results, there are also others trying to manipulate it at the same time. It's either you manipulate or you don't - and not "FU Google for not having my manipulations work in only my favor".

If we were in vegas in the 1950's, you'd get beaten bloody for even thinking about manipulating a casino game to work in your favor. Now, there are people complaining because they don't like the results from a company that you can at any time choose to use or not. If there is really an issue, go post it on their forum and MOD's at Google will see it within minutes.

Otherwise, don't complain that you don't like the results from other's circumventing Google's algo, when you are doing the same thing - circumventing Google's algo to gain the most traction and highest level of advancement above your competitors outside of "G" doing it themselves organically as it was designed and intended.

    Just my "two-cents".

Im no legal expert, but it seems somewhat Tortious for Google to allow this to happen.

I wonder what would happen in a small claims court.

I will take your two-cents and raise you 10 years of marketing experience.

Google could just disregard links you deem to be unworthy/spammy/paid for/automated. Instead they apply a penalty to a site. They basically take points away from you, you have zero control over this and it shouldn't be allowed. Rather than take points away for bad links, they should just ignore the bad links. This would stop neg SEO in its tracks. which would stop a huge volume of web spam.

thanks for pointing this out. We need more exposure to this because I never thought about doing this, even tho I knew neg seo exsists. However, now, its the next thing on my list.

I agree, it is 100% logical that you have absolutely no control over who or what websites link back to you. I've never understood this move.

The biggest irony, IMO, is that it is precisely what Google now includes in their current iteration of what does and does not constitute 'webspam' that is at least as responsible as Google, themselves, for Google's success. Only now, Google insinuates (pretends, that is), through their actions, that they know better than the market what ought to get seen. Google are in such a collective, parochial, pedantic, and punitive head-space that they truly cannot see the forest for the trees. The most salient example I can think of that proves this is that a site that has engaged in the most egregious violations of 'webspam', and has been penalised, therefore, can still be the qualitatively best option for the end user performing a search; ergo, the 'quality' of a website is to Google a secondary, if not tertiary concern -- at best. For all the churn-and-burn reasoning stated by OP and everything that can be deduced from what he's said, there is now more reason than ever to SPAM and neg SEO.

It's the Google charade that sickens me and the fan boi farce that follows along en masse, the smoke-and-mirrors; not that it is their engine, the best engine, etc.etc. Do your thing, Google. Just have some balls about it.
